What if I am between sizes?

Take the size at or above your largest measurement, then use the side lacing to draw it in closer. The hip and lower half are also cut with ease, so a size that is close, not exact, will still fit well.

Can I exchange my size after ordering?

Yes. An unworn piece may be exchanged for a different size within 7 days of delivery, while the edition lasts. All sales are otherwise final, since each piece is made specifically for you.

Is this really handmade in Nigeria?

Yes. Every piece is woven and beaded by hand at Tavi Atelier. The Akwete cloth is handloomed, and no two lengths are woven exactly alike, so a small variation in the motif is part of owning something made by hand rather than by machine.

When will it actually arrive?

Orders close 14 October. From there, please allow 3 to 4 weeks for your piece to be made, packed and shipped. We guarantee it ships no later than 11 November, well ahead of the holidays.

How closely will my piece match the photos?

Very closely. The images are digital renderings made to closely match the real fabric and design. The one thing that may vary by hand is the beadwork: the exact bead color, count and number of rows may differ slightly from what is pictured, since every strand is strung by hand. The fabric, silhouette, fringe and construction are all made to match what you see.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Checkout runs through Stripe, used by millions of businesses worldwide. We never see or store your card details.
